Daily preventive care will help us in reducing the risk of developing tooth decay, gum disease, bad breath and other dental problems. </p>
<p>To prevent cavities and maintain proper dental hygiene, what foods and drinks you take are important factors. Any food or drink that is acidic may lead to enamel erosion. Bacteria in the mouth converts sugars, carbohydrates and starch from the food we take into acids, this acids break down or demineralize the enamel on teeth. </p>
<p>Some foods are important in protecting the teeth against cavities. Fluoride is one of the protector which makes the surface of teeth resistant to acids. Drinking fluoridated water and using fluoride toothpaste is must. </p>
<p>Green tea is one of the recommended drinks that contains plant compounds that reduces plaque, cavities and gum diseases. Milk is a good source of calcium that helps in maintaining teeth and bones and also it contains low acidity which means wearing of teeth is less. Vegetables that are rich in Vitamin A aids in the formation of teeth enamel. Sugary foods and drinks must be consumed in limited quantities because they stick to the teeth and reduce the pH in the mouth for an extended time. Using sugar substitutes instead of normal sugars reduce the bacteria on teeth and don&#8217;t produce decay causing acids. </p>
<p>Crunchy foods such as apples and pears contain high water content that dilutes the effects of sugars in them and increase saliva production. Some of the best drinks to be taken are water, milk and unsweetened tea and it is better to limit the consumption of soft drinks, tea or coffee with added sugars. Water cleans the mouth and washes away particles inside the mouth, also increases flow of saliva. Chewing sugar free gum may be good for teeth. </p>
<p>Time is an important factor in developing tooth decay. The more often you consume foods and drinks which damage the teeth, the more frequent the teeth gets exposed to decay. There are various variety of foods which protect the teeth enamel, increase saliva production, provide right amount of calcium, minerals for teeth and bones.<span id="more-1611"></span></p>

<p>Deficiency of vitamin B1 causes Beriberi which is a disease of the nervous system. It also affects important body functions such as brain function and heart function.</p>
<p><strong>Vitamin B2, Riboflavin</strong><br />

accumulated toxin level as a result of excessive intake because this is a water-soluble vitamin, the excess amount not being absorbed by the body is being automatically excreted.</p>
<p>Side effects of taking too much vitamin B7 or biotin are as follows:</p>
<ul>
<li>It does not harm the human body but it forms certain allergic reactions in your body by interacting with drugs and supplements you are taking for health conditions.</li>
<li>The people who suffer from medical conditions such as seizure disorders, liver disease or kidney problems may experience some symptoms such as skin eruptions, slowed insulin release or an increase in blood sugar levels.</li>
<li>Pregnant women should be more careful while taking this vitamin in higher doses because there can be chances of miscarriage.</li>
</ul>
<p>However, there are no more evidences to show side effects of excess biotin intake because it is a water-soluble vitamin. Since water-soluble vitamins are easily absorbed by the body and doesn&#8217;t stored for the longer period of time. Required amount of this vitamin is stored and the leftover or excess is excreted through urine. So it should be replenished daily.</p>

Though the possession and consumption of marijuana is banned and is considered illegal, its usage is still prevalent among teenagers as well as younger adults. Chronic marijuana use not only shows negative impact on the person&#8217;s health, but also leads to significant negative effects on his/her daily life. Following are the effects of marijuana abuse on the user&#8217;s life.</p>
<p>In general, marijuana is smoked using a cigarette or pipe. Once the smoke is inhaled, the active chemical present in marijuana, THC (delta-9-tetrahydrocannabinol), passes from the lungs into the bloodstream. The blood carries this chemical to different parts of the body including the brain. This chemical acts on some areas in the brain called as Cannabinoid receptors. These receptors are found in large numbers in areas that influence memory, thinking, concentrating, sensory and time perception, and coordinated movement.</p>
<p>Hence, regular use of marijuana results in distorted perceptions, impaired coordination and difficulty in thinking, problem solving, learning and memory &#8211; all faculties essential in day to day life.</p>
<p><strong>Other negative effects</strong></p>

<li>For teenagers who are pursuing their education, marijuana abuse creates serious obstacles to learning. Marijuana usage severely impairs their learning capabilities, critical thinking ability, and other related functions. These students are more likely to suffer from memory problems and difficulty in concentrating. There will be a decline in comprehension and cognitive skills. The effects are more drastic in case of regular users and those who take the drug in higher quantities. Due to these problems, they become irregular to school. It affects their academics and grades as well.</li>
<li>Marijuana use also causes various problems at workplace. Employees who abuse marijuana look normal, but mentally, they experience lot of disturbance. They lose interest in their work. It affects their performance and hence productivity. They lose temper quite easily creating issues at workplace. It also affects their driving capabilities and hence there is increased risk of workplace accidents and injuries.</li>
<li>Chronic use of marijuana leads to psychological effects like increased mental illness, paranoia and schizophrenia. Users show less interest towards their job, relations and other social activities. Lack of attendance and poor performance at workplace leads to poor income, no appraisals or promotions.</li>
<li>Drug addiction and dependence makes the user stay away from social groups and hence affects their social relations. We can also notice a significant change in the user&#8217;s social behavior due to the adverse effects of marijuana on his/her brain.</li>
