Yoga Works to Integrate Body with Mind and Soul
A person can get success only when he integrates his body with his mind and soul. The integration of these three can make person more stronger both mentally and physically. You know that body, mind and soul all work together making up your identity. The integration of the three- physical, mental, and emotional powers can give ultimate happiness for you. Taking care of your overall health really means looking at your Body, Mind and Soul. Yoga is a Hindu practice focused on improving mind, body, and spirit. The word yoga is a Sanskrit word which means union, such as the union of mind and body. Yoga uses postures, focused concentration on specific body parts and breathing techniques (pranayama) to integrate body with mind and mind with soul.
Yoga postures help in conditioning your body. There are many poses or postures in yoga. These poses are called as actions( kriyas), seals( mudras), and locks( bandhas). An action helps to move the energy up and down. Seals is a gesture or movements to hold energy or concentration, and locks (bandhas) help in holding muscular contractions to focus awareness.
Yoga focuses on the mind by teaching you to concentrate on specific parts of the body. Meditation is one of the fundamental principles of yoga. Meditation is a state of focused concentration that may result in a heightened sense of peace and awareness. Meditation is so thoroughly effective in reducing stress and tension. Meditation help you to keep your mind clam and peaceful.
Yoga uses the controlled breathing technique to integrate the mind, body, and spirit. This breathing technique is also called as pranayama. Pranayama is a sanskrit word, prana means energy or life force, and yama means social ethics. It is believed that the controlled breathing will control the energy flow inside body, that means it slows down heart rate, calms mind, and leads to a deep, inner calm and sense of relaxation.
