Cotton Bed Sheets:
Most of the bed sheets are made from cotton. The quality of the cotton sheets can be assessed by the number of threads used to make it. The type of cotton with highest thread count is known as Egyptian cotton. The cotton bed sheets are extremely soft, breathable and comfy and these are easy to maintain. These can be washed in the washing machine with some mild detergent.
Flannel Bed Sheets:
These are best suited for the hotels operating in cooler climates and these are soft, cozy and can provide warmth in the cold climate. The quality of these bed sheets is measured in ounces, better quality sheets are those that are heavier than 4 Oz.
Silk Bed Sheets:
Silk sheets offer more luxury for the hotel guests and they are extremely soft and smooth, provides warmth and coolness at the same time. Silk bed sheets are also naturally hypoallergenic and are best for allergenic people. These are very costly.
Jersey Bed Sheets:
Jersey bed sheets are recently introduced and are made of knit cotton. They look like cotton T shirts and they are also extremely durable, and unlikely to pill.
Polyester Bed Sheets:
These are commonly seen in budget hotels, these bed sheets do not offer much comfort and softness for the guests. These cannot be used by the allergic persons as they trigger allergy causing discomfort. Advantage of polyester bed sheets is they are easy to wash.
