If a person unconsciously grinds or clenches his teeth while asleep, that condition is called as a teeth grinding. Teeth grinding is also termed as bruxism which is not a regular habit. In fact, it is a medicine for relieving the persons stress out. Everybody will have stress at some point of time. And the stress is handled by everybody in different ways.
However stress and the sleep are the two main reasons for teeth grinding according to the researchers. This problem some times comes through hereditary. There are many causes of teeth grinding which include:
Stress: Stress is the main cause of teeth grinding during sleep because it can disrupt a person’s sleeping cycle. Unconsciously a person starts clenching a teeth whenever his/her particular sleeping pattern is disrupted during sleep.
When a person gets frustrated or angry with somebody or something, s/he used to clench his fist of teeth while managing the suppression of anger.
Aggressive personality is another cause of teeth grinding when the person lets out all the frustration and anger towards the intended object.
If a person’s teeth structure is abnormal, s/he used to grind his/her teeth continuously to make contact with the other tooth in their mouth. This is also one of the main reasons for teeth grinding.
Itchiness is also one of the reasons for teeth grinding in the children around 7 years because the teeth will grow in that age which makes them teeth to grind.
Even a person contains diseases or takes medicines or having anxiety and tension can grind their teeth.
